Being a registered boarding establishment and for the safety/health of your as well as our own dogs there are certain requirements in place.
Vaccination/Worm, Flea & Tick Treatment
- Canine Distemper
- Canine Hepatitis
- Leptospirisis
- Canine Parvo Virus
- Kennel Cough Vaccination
Worm & Flea (Tick) Treatment – is normally prescribed by the Vet and selfadministered
These are Council requirements we and will not board any dog where proof of Vaccination and the Worm & (Flea) Tick Treatment is unable to be provided.
Unneutered Males
We allow intact males only if our resident neutered male is comfortable with the intact male. This will need to be determined during visits and potential trial nights.
Unneutered Females
We allow unneutered females to be boarded. Potential occurrence of season during the stay will have be be communicated prior and everything provided to keep the bitch clean. If the bitch comes into season during her stay, there will only be on lead walks in areas without other dogs.
Socialisation
We will not board any dogs, which have not had a socialisation visit on our premises prior to the boarding period. If our dogs do not tolerate the potential Guest, show signs of discomfort around the dog, dominant behaviour or any form of aggression, we will not board the dog in question.
Crate
If your dog is crate trained, you will have to provide the cage and advise when/how the dog has been trained for this. If we see any form of distress of the dog in the crate at any time during the stay, we will allow us to remove it.
Reactive/Aggression on walks
If you dog is reactive and shows any sign of aggression or has shown any aggression in the past towards other dogs during walk (on or off lead), we will need full information on this and depending on severity make a decision to board the dog. It is not necessarily a definite negative for boarding, but we need to be prepared 100% to make a decision.
If you fail to inform us of this and the dog shows this aggression during a walk, towards other or our dogs, we potentially call you/your emergency contact to collect the dog immediately.
Emergency Contact
An Emergency Contact is not your partner you are on holiday with. Please only provide a contact who we are able to contact or is able to collect the dog in case of any emergencies
