Here are some mutually beneficial terms and conditions that must be adhered to.

Changeover Periods
The owner will be kept informed of changeover period details.

Avonvale Homeboarding is happy to accept Bitches in season however the owner must inform Avonvale Homeboarding if this is expected during their dog’s stay.

The owner agrees to deliver the dog in a clean, groomed condition. If the dog requires regular grooming please provide the appropriate grooming equipment.

Exercise
Please note where the owner agrees to the dog being exercised off lead, the owner therefore accepts responsibility for third party liability. All dogs in Avonvale Homeboarding’s care will wear a collar on walks displaying Avonvale Homeboarding contact details as required in the terms of our Falkirk licence.
Where permitted the owner recognises the risks associated with Avonvale Homeboarding transporting the dog on walks or days out. All dogs are secured in Avonvale Homeboarding vehicle as defined in Scotland’s Welfare of Dogs: code of practice.

Food
The owner agrees to provide the dog’s own food for the duration of their stay. Alternatively Furlington Dog Food (dry Kibble) can be provided at an extra daily charge.

Insurance
Avonvale Homeboarding is a fully insured dog boarder, this does not supersede the dog owner’s own insurance. Avonvale Homeboarding recommend that your dog is insured against sickness, accident, injury and third party liability prior to the start of the board.

Liability
The owner confirms to Avonvale Homeboarding
• that they are the legal owner of the dog.
• that the dog has not been ill with any contagious disease or condition within the
past 30 days.
• that the dog has received the necessary vaccinations and they have provided
proof/photocopies

The owner understands that Avonvale Homeboarding reserves the right to

• refuse entry to a dog registered under the Dangerous Dogs Act 1991 or the
Dangerous Wild Animal Act 1976.
• refuse entry to a dog if it has a history of aggression or biting.
• request emergency collection of a dog if it continually displays dangerous,
destructive or unreasonable behaviour towards members of the Avonvale
Homeboarding household.
• request compensation for any damage caused by the dog in Avonvale
Homeboarding’s home beyond reasonable wear and tear.
• cancel boarding dates for intact dogs if unneutered resident bitch is in season

Medical Emergencies
In an medical emergency situation Avonvale Homeboarding will contact our registered vet practice of Graham Road Vets in Falkirk or Vets NOW Edinburgh during out of office times of our registered Vet as the welfare of your dog is paramount. Simultaneously Avonvale Homeboarding will contact the owner. Where contact is not made Avonvale Homeboarding will contact the Emergency Contact given by the owner. Where requested by our vet practice, Avonvale Homeboarding will also speak to the owner’s veterinary practice. The owner hereby authorises Avonvale Homeboarding to do whatever is necessary for the safety, health and wellbeing of the dog and agrees to assume full financial responsibility of all expenses incurred.

Deposit Payment
A non-refundable deposit of 25% is expected upon booking dog boarding dates, dates are not secured until the deposit is received. If not received the dates requested will be made re-available. If you need to cancel your booking for any reason, other dates may be arranged as you will not receive a refund of the deposit paid.

Photos
The owner is happy for Avonvale Homeboarding to use photos of the dog on social media.

Pre Visits & Socialisation
with resident dogs a mutually satisfactory pre-visit must be completed before any boarding can commence at Avonvale Homeboarding in Avonbridge/Falkirk – Avonvale Homeboarding prefers to have a meet & greet on neutral grounds before coming onto our premises.
